Princess Máxima present at Cultural Evening Chakana

Princess Máxima of the Netherlands will be present during the cultural evening on the 14th of October in The Hague, The Netherlands. The evening, titled ´Journey through the Andes´, is an initiative of Chakana Netherlands. The evening focuses on the Andean countries of Bolivia and Peru.

A Peruvian inspired dinner will be served, as will there be dance performances by Peru Andino and music by Anata Bolivia. Also artworks and handicrafts from the region will be displayed. Aim of the evening is to introduce the richness of the Andean cultures to a broader audience and enlarge awareness on the harsh environmental conditions and cultural challenges that face Andean communities today. In this context Chakana will set out its vision and discuss some of its current projects and results.

Besides the princess, the ambassadors of both Bolivia and Peru shall be present during the evening. TV host Isolde Hallensleben, who is also ambassador of Chakana, will host the evening which is only accessible to invitees.
