In the communities Ayma and Piñani, Chakana recorded video material of a couple of impressive ceremonies. These two communities are being considered to be an example for the region. |

Princess Máxima present at Cultural Evening Chakana 24 September 2010 Princess Máxima of the Netherlands will be present during the cultural evening on the 14th of October in The Hague, The Netherlands. The evening, titled ´Journey through the Andes´, is an initiative of Chakana Netherlands. The evening focuses on the Andean countries of Bolivia and Peru. |

Completion of the textile project and anniversary of CPFOMAT 16 September 2010 The textile project of Chakana in the region of Achocalla and Comanche has successfully been conluded. The ending of the project coincided with the 15th anniversary of the women organisation CPFOMAT with whom Chakana cooperated during the project. The completion of the project was celebrated with several festivities and an official programme in the centre of the village of Comanche. |
