DESCRIPTION: The improvement of the traditional irrigation system for agrarian use.

Problem:

Low harvests and, in dry years, imminent food shortages caused by a lack of water for irrigation.

Solution:

Replacement of the old (porous) irrigation canals by cement canals and the construction of a water tank for extra catchment.

Result:

Functional water supplies in the communities, enlargement of the harvest and improvement of the quality of life.
