Welcome to NGO Chakana's website. Chakana is a development organisation focusing on the indigenous peoples of the Andes Mountains in Bolivia and Peru. Chakana's projects help these people to improve their living conditions in the harsh highlands, and to create economic and social opportunities. Respect for the indigenous cultures and traditions are integral to Chakana's approach.
